The Starbucks winter menu is always long-awaited, as it brings in the holiday season. People love to welcome back the classic drinks and treats they have been missing and are excited to see what new items are in store once the temperature drops. For many Bellevue High School students, Starbucks is a year-round staple. With its official 2025 drop, what does the student population have to say about the menu, and what is worth trying this season?
Compared to last year's winter menu, which relied on sugary classics like the Chestnut Praline Latte and the Cranmerry Refresher, students say this year feels more balanced and less repetitive. Many remember that last year’s lineup almost entirely returned drinks without major food additions, which made it feel predictable. With this year’s new food items and the focus on lighter drinks, students are showing more interest in the menu.
“Last year's menu felt like a copy and paste,” said senior Mia Massino, “This year actually gives us something new, like the Polar Bear Cake Pop.”
On the drink side, two returning favorites are competing for attention: the Peppermint Mocha and the Sugar Cookie Latte. The classic Peppermint Mocha holds its ground as the classic winter drink. Still, the Sugar Cookie Latte is definitely gaining momentum. Light, sweet and sprinkled with colorful sugar topping, the Sugar Cookie Latte is quickly becoming the unofficial favorite among students who want something festive without being overwhelmed.
“The Sugar Cookie Latte is my top pick,” said sophomore Olivia Remer, “It tastes amazing, and it's not too heavy in the morning.”
On the food side, the standout hit of the 2025 winter menu is the Cinnamon Pull-Apart, a brand-new addition that students can’t stop talking about. Warm and layered with cinnamon sugar, it's become an instant favorite for a quick snack at any time of day. Returning treats like Peppermint Cake Pop and the Snowman Cookie still have their loyal fans, but nothing has drawn attention the way this new pastry has.
“Cinnamon Pull Apart is the best thing Starbucks added this year,” said junior Addie Wingard.
Overall, students agree that the 2025 winter menu is one of Starbucks’ strongest yet. With festive drinks, a new standout pastry, and a more balanced selection, this year’s offerings give everyone something to look forward to on cold mornings, especially those right before winter break.
