The Best Bathrooms at BHS

Here at BHS few topics spark as much debate and division as the quality of its bathrooms. According to students at school, the bathrooms have various factors that makes a bathroom the “best. To have an ideal bathroom experience students try to find the right balance between the two most important aspects: privacy and accessibility.
The first quality that will be discussed is privacy. After asking around campus, one bathroom has been consistently ranked first on the privacy index: the library.
“If you ever need to go to the bathroom, the number one place to go is the library bathroom,” senior Neil Raphael said. “It hands down has the most privacy, but it does come with downsides. The bathroom is often being used when I need it which means you have to plan ahead if you’re going to use it.”
Overall, this spot definitely tops the criteria for privacy, but it has its drawbacks. One of which is if you do enter the bathroom there is a possibility of getting a weird look from others nearby. If you’re in a rush, it won’t be your spot, but it tops many students’ lists for a reason.
Next up is the basement bathroom. Again, it’s a bathroom that has some of the most privacy, but it’s far away from every class.
“Sometimes before my soccer practice I go downstairs to the bathroom. It’s a great spot since I have 45 minutes before my training starts,” senior Dominik Katanic said.
Another important quality is accessibility, which the library lacks. Now the clear answer would be one of the bathrooms in the wings. While this is true, many students argue for the upstairs bathrooms due to the second floor being generally quieter than the first floor.
“I would never go to a bathroom on the first floor. There’s always too much going on there and people who might bug you. I will always stick to the bathrooms on the second floor since its slightly less noisy,” senior Brody Gayte said.
This spot is great for students who don’t care too much about their privacy in bathrooms since it is the most accessible bathroom in the school.
Altogether, every student has their own opinion based on what they value most. At BHS, there is no universally “best” bathroom, there are only ones that fit different situations. Some students are willing to go out of their way for privacy, while others prioritize quick access between classes.
