Olivia Rodrigo has brought back her Silver Star Tickets for The Unraveled Tour, giving fans who might not be able to afford regularly priced tickets a cheaper way to see her perform live. The tour for her third album “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl so in Love” began Sep 25 in Hartford and stops at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on Dec 7 and 8.

Silver Star tickets cost $20 each, plus a $5 service fee. At $25, Silver Star tickets are far less expensive than regular seats, which can exceed hundreds of dollars for any seat in the arena.

A portion of ticket proceeds goes to Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, a global initiative that supports community-based nonprofits working towards girls’ education, reproductive rights, and the prevention of gender-based violence.

“It feels nice to know that the money I’m spending to enjoy her music is going to a good cause,” sophomore Natalie Hang said.

Getting the desired Silver Star tickets requires a different process than purchasing normal concert tickets. Fans submitted a request through Ticketmaster starting Sept 1, but tickets weren’t guaranteed. Ticketmaster said fans would hear back by September 9 on whether they got these limited tickets.

“I’ve always loved her and I was really sad that none of my requests weren’t successful. I haven’t even heard about a single person who got a successful request,” Hang said, after results came out.

Although Silver Start tickets are limited, Rodrigo implemented policies to make sure the process was as equitable as possible. Since tickets are handed out on show day, buyers never get a ticket they could resell ahead of time. The tickets have allowed for a broader audience that may not be able to afford luxuries like concert tickets to enjoy their favorite artist live and support a good cause.
