How to: Have a Productive Summer

Jun 12

Have you ever entered summer with high expectations, then realize you spend most of your time sitting around? This is typically what happens to those who don’t plan out their break. Here are some ideas to become more productive and have a mindful summer.

1.     Practice self-care

Something most people forget about is taking care of themselves. Going for walks in the sun can help you get some easy exercise while enjoying the pretty sights and getting some vitamin D. This is a perfect time to be able to get consistent in the gym and learn how to perfect your workout routine. Lastly, taking the time to do a fun face mask, skincare routine, taking long showers are great ways to spend more time on yourself.

2.     Practice your hobbies

Another way to make a good use of your day is spending a few hours perfecting your skills. If you enjoy painting, maybe take some paper and go outside to draw nature. If you play a sport, going out to the field or the court to get some reps in will help you prepare for the school season.

3.     Look for a summer job

Before summer, there are many businesses looking for new employees. If you enjoy hanging out with kids, summer camps are a perfect opportunity to be able to earn some money while doing fun activities. You can also take this time looking for a job for the upcoming school year, which can be helpful to add onto college applications.

There are many more ways to keep busy but finding out what your passionate about is the best way to keep busy. Don’t forget to take care of yourself, enjoy the sun, and spend time with friends and family!
