With February just around the corner, many are excited for Valentine’s Day. Here are what some Bellevue students are going for Valentine’s.

“For Valentine’s Day [my boyfriend and I] will probably get dinner at 13 Coins and exchange gifts, personally I got him a matching keychains for us from Japan, but I was thinking of also maybe making like matching bracelets with thread and a handwritten card with a printed photo of us,” said junior Katherine Chang.

If you don’t know what to get your partner for Valentine’s a handmade gift or something personal is always best. Valentine’s is always a lovely holiday to spend with your friends! Many students have galantines plans.

“My friend is hosting a galantines party, and it’ll be like a potluck with cute decor. I’m making a charcuterie board, and my friends are going to bring cupcakes and other foods. This is our second year doing this and we’re planning on having fun activities like cookie decorating,” said junior Azusa Yi.

Celebrating with friends every year as traditions is an amazing way to spend the day surrounded by people you love.

Even if you don’t have plans, you can make someone’s day better through simple acts of service.

“I give out chocolate to my friends. I also go out for lunch with them and get a Valentine’s Starbucks drink. I bake some treats too. It’s a fun way to spend valentines with my friends!” said junior Saya Toth.

Valentine’s Day is the best excuse to just hang out with your friends and get a sweet treat, especially if you’re flying solo this year.
