As ticket prices skyrocket through resellers and growing popularity, BHS students actively hunt for tickets—from fighting the Ticketmaster war to get Laufey tickets at the cheapest price to winning Tate McRae ticket giveaways at radio stations like KEXP 90.3FM Seattle and EMMA 94.1FM which often announce ticket codes to listeners—they look forward to attending concerts over the summer. Here’s a compiled list of the most anticipated summer concerts of 2025 from students at BHS.
Starting off with lesser-known festivals, the Psychic Salamander Festival at Remlinger Farm, Carnations, is a great opportunity for indieheads to listen to artists like Yo La Tengo, Modest Mouse, Courtney Barnett and Sleater-Kinney all for the price of one concert ticket.
“I look forward to hearing Sleater-Kinney, a local Olympia-based female band,” said senior Bridget Hovind.
Make sure to purchase at the Paramount Theater box office for the best deal—and make your September memorable!
Moving onto slightly more popular artists, up next is Halsey and Magdalena Bay at the White River Amphitheater on June 28. As Magdalena Bay grows in popularity, fans become more eager to see them perform at such a big venue.
Another great duo for another fine summer night is Hozier and Gigi Perez performing on Aug 14.
“I’m so excited to dress up to see Hozier and Gigi Perez at T-Mobile Park,” said junior Raina Tifft.
Unfortunately for big indie fans, the Men I Trust concert is on that same night. Wallets may start crying that month.
Lastly, the most exciting concert of the summer—The Weeknd and Playboi Carti at Lumen Field on July 12.
“I love Carti, Autumn!, and Ken Carson. Carti’s performance is going to be amazing,” said junior Elliana Nan.
Although some concerts can be pricey, students often find great deals through resale sites and ticket giveaways. Keep an eye out on social media for promotions and last minute offers—your best high school summer might be just a ticket away.
