With just a little over a month left of school, Bellevue High students are counting down the days until summer break. From thrill-seeking plans like hiking and traveling to laid-back days soaking in the sun, students are already crafting their summer bucket lists. Let’s see what students are most excited about!
“I am very excited to surf on Duke Stauffer’s boat this summer,” junior Ellis Olten said.
For some, time on the water is the ultimate way to spend a summer day. Whether it’s jet skiing, wake surfing or cruising around Lake Washington, aquatic adventures are high on the list. The lake’s endless opportunities and breathtaking views make it a go-to spot for students to unwind and a favorite spot for students to hang out with their friends and make lasting memories.
“I’m hoping to go to the Lumineers concert in August with my friends,” junior Raina Tifft said.
For music enthusiasts, summer concerts are another major highlight. With artists like Morgan Wallen, The Lumineers and The Weeknd touring and music festivals like Watershed lighting up the stage, students are already planning to grab tickets and sing their hearts out.
“I’m looking forward to lots of cliff jumping this summer,” sophomore Ben Sharp said.
From Lake Washington to Whidbey Island, there’s no shortage of scenic spots of outdoor escapes for adventurous students. Cliff jumping, hiking trails, and spontaneous road trips are just a few of the ways students plan to embrace the season. Some must-visit spots include Eagle Falls, Snow Lake and Little Si.
While each bucket list is unique, the goal should be the same: to make the most of every moment. With just a week left in the school year, the countdown is officially on, and Bellevue students are more ready than ever to soak up everything this summer has to offer.
